After earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University in 1988, Jeffrey began his career in the corporate world. In 1993, he returned to Maine and took the helm as general manager of the family’s blueberry business, G. M. Allen & Son, Inc., founded by his grandfather in 1912. This role gave Jeffrey a deep understanding of Maine’s agricultural economy and instilled in him a strong work ethic that he carries into his real estate career.

In 2002, Jeffrey and his wife, Tina, expanded their entrepreneurial ventures by purchasing Fairwinds Florist, which they successfully operated for several years. It was during this time that Jeffrey’s interest in real estate was sparked. His involvement with a waterfront subdivision led to a mentorship with Vance B. Gray, the legendary former owner of Downeast Properties, who offered to sell the firm to Jeffrey and Tina. In 2004, they purchased the 50+ year-old luxury real estate firm on the Blue Hill Peninsula. After 21 years of ownership, Jeffrey is now thrilled to join Legacy Sotheby’s International Realty, bringing his wealth of experience to their team of top-producing agents.

With over 20 years of experience in Maine’s luxury and second-home markets, Jeffrey is well-versed in the local economy and the intricacies of real estate transactions. His combination of market knowledge, negotiation skills, and personalized service ensures that his clients make informed, confident decisions. Whether you’re buying or selling, Jeffrey works tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome for each client.

Outside of real estate, Jeffrey is dedicated to community service. A Navy veteran, he has coached youth sports, served as a deacon, and held leadership roles as a town selectman and Chamber of Commerce board member. He is also a Master Mason at the IRA Berry Lodge. Passionate about working with youth, Jeffrey has hosted international students from China, Korea, and Austria, many of whom attended George Stevens Academy, where Jeffrey also served on the Board of Trustees.

When not working, Jeffrey enjoys spending time with his three adult children and three grandchildren, and has partnered with his youngest son, Parker, in real estate. The Allen family share a love for golfing, fishing, boating, and cooking. An avid foodie, Jeffrey is always on the lookout for new dining experiences, whether in Maine or at his second home in Vero Beach, Florida.
